AI engineering tools with system context.

A code change is part of a larger system. Developer tooling becomes more useful when it can connect the change to repository context, related components and the team's existing review workflow.

For teams working across connected codebases

A diff shows what changed, but it does not explain every dependency or system assumption. Engineering leaders need tools that help reviewers ask better questions without creating another disconnected queue to manage.

This service focuses on custom tooling around your development process: the context available to the tool, where it is invoked and how a developer checks the result.

Possible building blocks

  • AI-assisted review of individual commits and pull requests.
  • Retrieval of relevant code and relationships across connected repositories.
  • Integration with existing source-control and team collaboration workflows.
  • Review output designed for human inspection, with uncertainty and limitations made visible.

Build for the reviewer

We first identify a specific review task and the repositories it needs. The integration should make relevant context easier to inspect and keep the developer responsible for accepting or rejecting a suggestion.

The scope can include the backend service, repository access, context preparation and the interface that brings feedback into the team's workflow. Access to proprietary code is agreed explicitly.

Evaluate usefulness, not comment volume

An evaluation can use representative historical changes and reviewer feedback. Useful criteria include relevance, unsupported findings, missed context, turnaround time and whether a finding can be checked against the code.

These are proposed project evaluation criteria, not published results from the anonymised example below. Issue-tracker integration in that example remains planned work.
